That is a really thought-provoking post, Blair! Talent will likely migrate from urban centers to lower cost areas as jobs are lost. Since recovery from the pandemic is likely to be slow and choppy, talent will unlikely rush back to high-cost cities. Workers are also coming to realise that WFH is actually doable after some adjustments (better if the kids are at school). Agile global businesses are likely to look into building decentralized remote talent teams to recover and stay competitive. We are about to witness a significant disruption.
