I injured my left shoulder after moving my left arm swiftly to avoid a dog bite in Dec 2018. I did not experience a shoulder dislocation but my shoulder was sore. Three Sundays ago I accompanied my cousin’s son for his 10th birthday treat — his 1st flight at the iFly in Singapore — my 12th or 13th; after a 3-year break. We were both looking forward to it. Since the shoulder sore was no longer pronounced, I did not hold back. A few seconds into my 1st flight I had to thumb down to exit from the tunnel. I experienced an excruciating pain in my left shoulder. The next day I got a referral from a GP to see an Ortho. After an X-Ray & an MRI, I was diagnosed to have suffered from a ligament tear. Currently undergoing physio to attempt to heal naturally before we make a decision in end June to consider keyhole surgery to fix the tear. A little sad to think that my body flying ‘hobby’ may have come to an end. Luckily, the birthday boy completed both of his flights with a big smile on his face.
